3 Ways On How To Have A Better Orgasm

    Few would argue against orgasms being the most amazing sensual experience we could ever have. It's the cherry on top when having sex that give us warm and fuzzy feelings inside, can help us bond with our partner, bring us into a state of meditation and clarity and all around blissfulness and presence.

    With research showing that nearly 37% of women need clitoral stimulation to orgasm, 18% can orgasm on penetration alone and about 10%-15% have never had an orgasm under any circumstances, it's safe to say that learning how to have an orgasm or an ever better one is important for most of us.

    Here are three ways that can make it easier to experience a better orgasm and/or boost your chances of having your first orgasm:

    1. Wait to have an orgasm while on your period.

    According to Dr. Madeleine Castellanos, a psychiatrist who specializes in sex therapy, having sex while on your period can lead to stronger orgasms due to: increased blood flow the uterus and genitals, contractions and therefore sensitivity of the uterus.

    She further states that sex during your period can also: shorten the duration of your period and help lessen cramping. 

    Many women can feel grossed out to this due to the messiness it can cause, but laying out an old towel beforehand or doing it in the shower can help resolve this issue. 

    2. Don't have sex/masturbate for a month or more.

    Why? Because while we are talking about having awesome orgasms, there is something else that's very important to place our attention on: our sexual arousal. 

    The moments that we feel turned on is the perfect time to contain our sexual energy and build up on it. We can channel that energy through another healthy form of physical activity such as: exercising, dancing, etc.

    Just because we feel turned on, doesn't mean that we have to fulfill that urge right away. 

    3. Be Patient.

     Great orgasms are like wine. The longer you wait, the tastier that they become.

    A recent survey conducted by the contraceptive app Natural Cycles, showed that women ages 35 and older reported having more sexually satisfying sex lives and better orgasms

    While the reason for this may not be purely physical but also psychological, it's nonetheless encouraging news. Many of us, as we become older and have settled more comfortably into who we are, also become more in tune with our bodies and that can help us achieve better sex and better orgasms.
